Rob Semple, Owner of racon, has a deep knowledge of the aircraft seating business, with a particular emphasis on new seat and monument development projects, and great knowledge of IFE integration, galley definition/modification, lavatory definition and aircraft STC requirements.

Based in the UK, racon can call on a strong network of associates to augment a project, if necessary, from aircraft interior industrial designers, through specialist experts in any part of an aircraft interior through to STC houses.

Rob Semple

Rob has more than 30 years aerospace experience, beginning his career at Rolls-Royce, including six years at Director level, before starting racon. Rob’s career focus has been on project management, operational management and running businesses. Rob worked at senior level for Contour (now Zodiac Seats UK); he was Engineering and Programmes Director, responsible for defining and leading the circa thirty seat and monument development programmes that were simultaneously being executed.

Rob has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree (BEng) from the University of Bath, is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (C Eng MIMechE) in the UK and holds a Masters (MSc) in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick.
